About David
David Walker is a teacher in New Zealand who has been teaching Intermediate (middle school) students for more than 20 years.
He has, in his earlier years, been involved in Endurance-based sports and has run through many varied places and countries.
This includes Death Valley and the Badwater Ultra-Marathon, Brazil and Australia.
He has also competed many times in the New Zealand Ironman triathlon.
His love of the outdoors has inspired a series of books, the first being Jack And The Trees.
The book deals with issues of sustainability, ecology, the flora and fauna of his home country and young people's care for the planet when faced with adult decisions that are not planet-focused!
Join him and his characters on a journey that explores these issues in an iconic Kiwi setting.
